  • Once registered, you will be sent a confirmation email with login instructions.

The Halton Online Prenatal Program is a web-based, mobile-friendly program that includes audio voiceover, closed captioning, videos, quizzes, and more to help you learn about healthy pregnancy, labour and birth, breastfeeding and taking care of your newborn. This free program is an excellent option for first-time parents or parents expecting another child who would welcome a refresher course. Your account will be active for a period of one year from the time you create it. This version is the initial launch of the program and we will be making more upgrades in the future.

Description

A 2-hour class, targeted to pregnant women, taught by a Certified Lactation Consultant and/or Public Health Nurse and made possible by Halton Region and the Halton Baby Friendly Initiative Coalition

You will learn:

  • the importance of breastfeeding
  • how to get breastfeeding off to a good start
  • the management of breastfeeding and how to prevent common breastfeeding challenges
  • how to build a strong support system

  • Any pregnant women in Halton, whether this is your first child or your second or third etc.
  • Your partner and other support person if desired (mother, mother-in law etc).
