"Make a Splash!" is a new health promotion campaign designed to remind seniors that it is never too late to benefit from being more active.

Physical activity benefits include improved balance, strength and flexibility which can reduce the risk of fall-related injuries. Additional benefits include better sleep and digestion, increased energy and ability to cope with stress - all factors that help the individual stay healthy and independent.

30 - 60 minutes of physical activity is recommended for most days. Activities can include walking, dancing, swimming, hiking, cycling, Tai Chi, or fitness classes - any physical activity can produce benefits.
