How to Apply for Subsidized Housing
- Determine if you meet the eligibility requirements .
- Obtain an application form (
1.1MB) and information package ( 191KB).
- If you require supports, obtain a Supportive Housing application form ( 45KB) to submit with your application.
- Search the locations or If you are unsure if a particular housing provider is part of the HATCH system Part 3 of the Hatch information package has a list of housing providers. This list indicates how to apply to each provider and the contact information.
- Complete the application fully. Section 8 of the application is where you indicate sites you want to live in. If you are missing information you will be notified by letter. You must provide any missing information within 20 business days of the letter or your application will be cancelled.
- You will be advised in writing within 30 days whether or not you are eligible.
- If you are considered eligible, your application will go on the waiting list for the housing sites and providers you selected.
- If you are not eligible, you may appeal this decision. You must do this within 10 business days of the letter.
