Air Monitoring: Milton

  • The Region has initiated its own air monitoring program. It has established its own stationary air monitoring station in Milton.
  • This station measures levels of the 5 common air pollutants on a continuous basis.
  • It will be used to generate an AQHI rating for air quality in Milton.

  • The Region has also purchased 2 sophisticated portable air monitors capable of measuring levels of the 5 common air pollutants on a continuous basis.
  • These 2 portable monitors will be moved around the Region to measure air levels in different areas of Halton and in different situations.
  • The Region will use these monitors to inform policy development and environmental reviews.
