William Halton Parkway (Neyagawa Boulevard to Ninth Line)

Town of Oakville

Project Type:

To keep traffic moving, Halton Region is building a new transportation corridor–William Halton Parkway. This project covers the work happening from Neyagawa Boulevard to Ninth Line. This new corridor will include the following features:

  • Four lane corridor
  • 1.8 metre on-road cycle lanes
  • 1.5 metre concrete sidewalk
  • 3 metre multi-use trail
  • New bridge over 16 Mile Creek
  • Roundabouts

As part of this work, three roundabouts will be constructed at intersections that connect William Halton Parkway with: 1) Fourth Line; 2) Sixth Line; and 3) Ninth Line. Traffic signals will also be installed at a new intersection at Trafalgar Road.

This work will happen in three separate construction phases, as described below:

  • Phase I: Sixth Line to Trafalgar Road – December 2018 to November 2020
  • Phase II: Trafalgar Road to Ninth Line – Spring 2019 to November 2021
  • Phase III: Sixth Line to Neyagawa Boulevard – Summer 2019 to Winter 2022 (tentative)
Traffic Impact:

To safely accommodate the work happening on William Halton Parkway, Sixth Line will be closed (from north of Burnhamthorpe Road to south of the ETR 407) between December 18, 2018 at 7 a.m. and April 22, 2019 at 6 a.m.

Please see the map for details on the road closure to help you plan ahead.
