Community Immunization Clinics

Important: Immunization clinics are by appointment only. We are unable to accept drop-ins.

In Ontario, routine immunizations are mainly given in family doctor’s offices. However, Halton Region also offers Community Immunization Clinics.

Eligibility

Community immunization clinics are available for school age children who have missed an immunization clinic at school (Hepatitis B, HPV [Gardasil®], and Menactra®).

Cost

  • There is no cost for this service.

Bring your child's health card number and up to date immunization information to your appointment.

What to bring

  • Immunization history or yellow immunization card
  • Child’s health card is helpful
    The Health Department uses your health card number to access and update your Provincial immunization record. They are kept confidential.

What to expect

  • When you arrive, you will be greeted and it will be determined which immunization(s) your child is eligible to receive.
  • You will be asked to stay for 15 minutes after your child receives an immunization, and may leave after this time, provided your child is feeling well.
  • The nurse will update your child’s immunization records, and the Health Department will be aware of the immunizations received. You do not need to report them to us.
