About Emergency Preparedness

Halton Region and its emergency management partners work year round with local emergency responders to ensure there is a coordinated response plan to address a large-scale disaster.

Being prepared makes all the difference and in that respect Halton residents are our most important partners. There are many steps that individuals and families can take before a crisis happens. For example, having an emergency survival kit on hand, knowing how to “shelter in place”, and being able to access the most up-to-date information from officials could greatly reduce stress during an emergency.
