About Museum

The Halton Region Museum is a year-round facility located in Kelso Conservation Area in Milton (view map External Link). Visitors learn about the natural and cultural heritage of Halton through its many exhibits, programs and special events. The Alexander Trail highlights the historic features of the five-acre site. The third floor of the Alexander Barn offers a rare opportunity to look behind the scenes at the museum collections storage.

Special curriculum-based education programs are available for schools. Community groups can arrange a museum tour and artifact presentation or a guided hike along the Bruce Trail. For researchers, a reference library and archives are available by appointment. In addition, museum facilities are available for rental and provide a scenic setting for events such as weddings and business meetings during any season of the year.
