  • Communities of practice are groups of people who share a passion for something that they know how to do and who interact regularly to learn how to do it better. 
  • The Halton Region Community of Practice on Smoking Cessation aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, stimulate learning and spark dialogue on the topic of cessation.

  • Meetings provide the opportunity to share ideas, exchange information and explore future networking possibilities with people who share a commitment to smoking cessation.
  • Past guest speakers have included Dr. Andrew Pipe, C.M., M.D., LL.D. (Hon), D.Sc. (Hon), Canada's foremost expert on smoking cessation and Dr. Robert Reid, Ph.D., MBA, Associate Director with Minto Prevention & Rehabilitation Centre, University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
