Personal Service Settings - Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC)

The goal of the Halton Region Health Department is to work with owners/operators and staff of Personal Service Settings to ensure that safe practices are provided to reduce the risk of transmission of blood borne and other types of infection for both clients and staff during the delivery of personal services.

These settings include:

  • hairdressers
  • barbershops
  • nail care places
  • esthetic clinics
  • premises that provide ear and body piercing, electrolysis, tattoo and micropigmentation
