Community Influenza (flu) Immunization Clinics

Have a child who needs a second dose of flu vaccine?

A second flu immunization dose is available for children under nine.

Halton Region’s community flu clinics are now over for the 2016-17 season. You can still get your flu shot at

  • Your local pharmacy * or
  • Your doctor’s office.
  • *Children under five years of age should visit their doctor.

Second dose flu immunization for children under nine

Every child under the age of nine who is receiving the flu vaccine for the first time will need two doses of the vaccine given at least four weeks apart

  • Children between the ages of five to nine can receive both doses of flu vaccine at their doctor, a pharmacy or a Halton Region Health Department Flu Clinic.
  • Children under five can only receive the flu vaccine from a doctor or a Halton Region community flu clinic.
