Tobacco-Free Working

The Smoke-Free Ontario Act took effect in Ontario in 2006. This legislation bans smoking in your workplace and all enclosed public places.

Your employer can help you kick the habit by:

  • offering smoking cessation supports such as individual counselling, self-help resources, group programs, lunch n' learn sessions.
  • covering cessation products under the benefits package.
  • reimbursing you for some of the cost of a quitting program.
