Halton Region's Services Permit staff is responsible for issuing many different permits relating to water, sanitary sewer and regional road activities. Service Permits are additional to any Permits that may be issued from the Local Municipality.

Permits Related to Water and Wastewater Services or Connections

Application must be made directly to the Services Permit staff located at the Halton Regional Administrative building, 1151 Bronte Road (Regional Road 25), Oakville (view map ). 

Drawings that may have previously been submitted to the Local Municipality, or to other Regional Departments, are not routed to the Services Permit Group. Information about Researching, Preparing & Submitting your drawing.

• Demolition Pre-Permit Clearances - Regional 'Sign-off' is required when you plan to demolish an existing building.
• Region of Halton's Contractor Information Package 80KB (as of January 12, 2012) - Utilize the Contractor Information Package to help understand how to successfully complete the requirements of your Services Permit.

Permits Related to Regional Roads

• Entrance Permit - An Entrance permit is required to authorize any proposed new or revised entrance to a property from a Regional Road.
• Excavation Permit - An Excavation permit allows excavation within the boundaries of a Regional Road.
• Annual Oversize & Single-Trip Oversize/Overweight Permits - To allow movement of oversize or overweight loads on Regional Roads.
