Long-Term Care Homes

Discover The Villages of Halton

Halton Region operates three non-profit long-term care homes within three beautiful community settings. All share a common goal for residents: Living life your way.

Our home cannot replace your home. It can however, provide you with the assistance you might need in an atmosphere filled with warmth and caring. Our team values you as a person, and the rich history you bring to us.

Discover how special care can be

At the Villages of Halton, we are committed to offering a fulfilling quality of life. Activities such as regular trips, cultural events, celebration and theme nights, visits from volunteers, local schools and church groups will help residents stay in touch with the community.

Our 'Village' concept and innovative programming helps keep our residents connected to the community around them, by incorporating intergenerational programming and various activities in an environment that is family and pet-friendly.

Our facilities are designed with clients' and caregivers' needs in mind, with a home-like atmosphere, fewer residents in each unit, central meeting areas and a focus on "bringing the outdoors in."

Enhancing the quality of care for our residents

Halton Region is committed to responding to our growing, aging population by identifying priorities to support the safety, health and well-being of older adults in Halton. The Region’s three long-term care homes recently entered into a three-year partnership with the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) to become a Long-Term Care Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO)®.

By becoming a best practice spotlight organization, in partnership with the RNAO, Halton will:

  • enrich the lives of our long-term care residents;
  • enhance the quality of care our residents receive; and
  • ensure our programs are consistent with evidence-based best practices.

To learn more about the RNAO or the purpose of a Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO)® designation, please visit rnao.ca/bpg (external link).

To further enhance the care of our residents, Halton’s long-term care homes now have a partnership with the Golden Horseshoe Food and Farming Alliance to feature locally grown, seasonal food items on the long-term care homes’ resident’s menu.
