Halton Industrial & Commercial Real Estate Forum
On October 23, 2008, the Business Development Division of Halton Region, and the Economic Development offices of Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville hosted a forum for over 150 top industrial and commercial real estate developers, agents and government officials.

Halton Competitiveness Study
The Halton Competitiveness Analysis was initiated by the Region of Halton to provide input to the 2008 Development Charges (DC) update process. The Competitiveness Study examined the competitive position of Halton within the Greater Golden Horseshoe (GGH) Area with respect to the Region's attractiveness for non-residential, non-retail development (essentially, office and industrial development).

Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
In 2006, Halton Region undertook a Comprehensive Economic Development Study. This study examined fundamental competitiveness issues raised through the Development Charges process and the policies as set out in the Regional Official Plan Amendment 25. It also examined a wide range of tools to achieve the economic development objectives needed to support a competitive business environment.
The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy reflects the community’s aspirations regarding Halton’s economic future. It is a strategic action plan that provides direction for the Region’s priorities in economic development service delivery.
