We are here to help.  Contact the Halton Region Small Business Centre to book an appointment with one of our consultants.  We will help you create your business plan, direct you to resources, clarify rules and regulations and provide local market data.

  • Starting a Small Business in Canada - General Information Session for new Canadians interested in self employment - topics include: business registration, name protection, municipal licensing, insurance, financing, HST, business planning and services available through the Halton Region Small Business Centre.  Get more information and register now!

 

  • Newcomer Information Centre (NIC) - NIC is a program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and operated by The Centre for Education and Training.  All services provided by NIC are free and confidential.  Services include: information and referral, computers, fax, Commissioner of Oath and information sessions.  NIC welcomes Permanent Residents, Canadian Citizens, Refugees, Temporary Workers, students and visitors.  Get more information External link icon.

  • Canadian Youth Business Foundation Newcomer Program - Are you new to Canada?  Are you between 18-34 years old with a great business idea and looking for guidance to launch your business?  CYBF's Newcomer Program gives you start-up coaching, financing, mentoring and business resources.  On top of that, it ensures that you have specialized support to better understand Canadian business customs and to overcome language and cultural challenges.  Plus, you do not need to have a credit history in Canada in order to receive financing.  Get more information External link icon.
