What is Emergency Preparedness (EP) Week?

  • EP Week runs from May 1 - 7, 2011 (first week of May).
  • It's a Canada-wide joint Federal-Provincial-Territorial initiative to increase awareness about individual and family preparedness.
  • Emergency Management Ontario (EMO) works with a number of communities across the province, including Halton Region, to support their efforts to participate in EP Week.
  • This year, the theme is "Take the Challenge". The Emergency Preparedness Challenge consists of 5 questions based on emergency preparedness information.
