Individuals and Families
Ontario Works Halton - is an employment program that provides temporary financial and employment support while supporting recipients in their goal of returning to the workforce. The goal of Ontario Works Halton is to help individuals gain the quickest route back to employment, and independence.
Child Care -
Child
Care Services helps families who qualify with the cost of child care.
Child care subsidy is available to families who are working, attending school, or looking for work. Subsidies can be applied to licensed child care programs and licensed private home child care agencies that have a
Purchase of Service Agreement with Halton Region.

Organizations and Community Groups
The Halton Community Investment Fund - The Halton Community Investment Fund provides stable, multi-year funding to community programs aligned with Halton Region's Strategic Plan in the Health and Social Services area. The fund was introduced in 2009 as part of Halton Region's ongoing efforts to build the capacity of the non-profit and voluntary sector to meet the needs of Halton residents.
Supporting Communities Partnership Initiative (SCPI) - The Supporting Communities Partnership Initiative (SCPI) was introduced in 1999 as part of the National Homelessness Initiative, and encourages communities to work together with government, private and non-profit sectors to identify community needs and develop new responses to homelessness. Funding is available to organizations and community groups for projects that address homelessness. Phase II funding has been allocated and ends March 2006.
