On Friday November 8, 2013, Dr. David Goldbloom will be the keynote speaker at the Halton Suicide Prevention Coalition’s Annual Meeting and Community Workshop. Attendees will also hear from Sandy Naiman, a mental health advocate and a spokesperson for the Canadian Mental Health Association’s “Mental Health Works” program.
She will speak to her personal psychiatric history that drives her life in recovery.
We all have mental health just like we all have physical health. Mental health is the ability we have to feel, think and act in ways that help us to enjoy life and deal with any challenges we face.
Life is a constant up and down, and we can never completely rid ourselves of problems or avoid crises all together. However, by learning how to cope with everyday, life events and by making positive health choices, you can reduce your chances of emotional and physical illness.
