Blue Box material is collected every week on your collection day. Find out your collection day

Use Blue Boxes only. Recyclables in plastic bags, cardboard boxes, grocery bins, laundry baskets, milk crates, or garbage/recycling cans (with or without wheels) will not be collected.

You can mix papers and containers in one Blue Box.

Place acceptable materials loose in your Blue Box. Rinse all containers and ensure they are clean and free of grease, liquid or food. Papers can be bundled and tied or placed loose, but no plastic bags.

  • Boxed beverage containers (Tetra Paks®, juice & soup boxes, gable top containers such as milk & juice cartons)
  • Glass bottles & jars (Clear or coloured, food & beverage glass containers)
  • Metal food & beverage containers
  • Plastic bottles (Water, pop, juice, dish detergent, bleach, laundry detergent & shampoo bottles; flatten 15 L water jugs; caps go in garbage)
  • Plastic tubs & lids (Cottage cheese, cream cheese, dips, ice cream, margarine, & yogurt tubs)
  • Books (Hard & soft covered books & telephone books)
  • Boxboard (Cereal, detergent, tissue boxes, etc.; flatten; liners go in garbage)
  • Fine paper (Computer paper, writing paper, envelopes, newspapers, inserts & flyers, paper bags)
  • Magazines
  • Newspapers
  • Corrugated cardboard (Tie in bundles no larger than 90cm x 90cm x 30cm (3 ft x 3 ft x 1 ft))
