In Halton Region, tires are not collected with garbage or bulk waste.

Used tires, diverted away from stockpiles and landfill, are recycled into rubber floor mats, rubber playground surfaces, rubberised asphalt, blasting mats, etc.

Alternative Tire Drop-off Locations

• Ontario Tire Stewardship 
  Many retailers take back tires for recycling. This is an Ontario Tire Stewardship program that ensures materials are safely recycled. Visit www.greenmytires.ca  for acceptable materials and drop off locations. 

Tire Collection at the Halton Waste Management Site

Halton residents can drop-off up to 5 tires per household per trip, free of charge at the Halton Waste Management Site.
