Safe Roads...Your Call Program

The 'Safe Roads...Your Call' program encourages motorists to help police put a stop to impaired driving by calling 9-1-1 to report a suspected impaired driver.

The program is a joint effort of the Halton Regional Police ServiceExternal Link, M.A.D.D. HaltonExternal Link and the community. Signs such as the one to the right have been installed in key locations throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills to spread the message.

Do not jeopardize your own safety or the safety of other motorists obtaining information on suspected impaired drivers. Only report the information which you can safely observe.

Suspect Another Driver on the Road is Impaired?

Call 9-1-1 and provide the following information:

  • Description of vehicle.
  • Nearest intersection.
  • Direction the vehicle was headed.
  • If possible, a license plate number.

'Safe Roads...Your Call' reports are assigned high priority and all available police resources will be used to locate suspected vehicles.
