Safe Roads...Your Call

The 'Safe Roads...Your Call' program encourages motorists to help police apprehend impaired drivers by calling 9-1-1 when they witness a suspected impaired driver.

A safe community is in large part due to a vested interested of residents - ensuring one another's well beings.

Suspect Another Driver on the Road is Impaired?

Do not jeopardize your own safety or the safety of other motorists obtaining information on suspected impaired drivers. Only report the information which you can safely observe.

Call 9-1-1 and provide the following information:

  • Description of vehicle.
  • Nearest intersection.
  • Direction the vehicle was headed.
  • If possible, a license plate number.

'Safe Roads...Your Call' reports are assigned high priority and all available police resources will be used to locate suspected vehicles.

'Safe Roads...Your Call' Signs

In June 2009 signs were installed in key locations throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills.

Additional signs will be added to key routes in the near future.
