Update February 8, 2011: Regional Chair Gary Carr along with Mayor Rick Goldring of Burlington met with the Honourable Rick Bartolucci, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and successfully resolved the Niagara to GTA Corridor issue.

As part of the Province's response to Halton and Burlington's Official Plans, the province has included the location of the potential Niagara to GTA corridor highway.

As a result of this location Regional Chair Gary Carr, City of Burlington and Regional Councillor Blair Lancaster and City of Burlington and Regional Councillor John Taylor hosted a public meeting about the potential location of the Provincial Niagara to GTA Corridor Highway at Mainway Recreation Centre, in Burlington, on Monday, December 13.
