Halton Region helps senior citizens live with independence, vitality and dignity through adult day programs, supportive housing programs and long-term care services. Additionally, the Elder Services Advisory Committee provides advice to Regional Council regarding issues that impact seniors. Get more information about Services for Seniors.
Adult Day Programs
Adult Day Programs are designed to meet the social, intellectual and recreational needs of older adults in Halton, and to enhance their independence and quality of life. A large variety of activities are offered (e.g. crafts, card games, bowling, special outings, music, baking/cooking, fitness, games, etc.) The programs also provide caregiver relief. Friends Landing and Milton Place Adult Day Programs are both located at 185 Ontario Street South, Milton. (view map ).
Long Term Care Homes
These homes provide 24-hour nursing and medical care for residents. Life enrichment, nutrition, restorative care and physiotherapy services are also provided. The Region owns and operates three homes:

Supportive Housing
Supportive Housing is designed for seniors and adults who require personal care assistance or support for daily living activities in their own homes. Programs are located at Wellington Terrace and Bonnie Place in Burlington, as well as the Bruce Apartments in Milton.
