Citizens' Priorities 2011-2014 Action Plan

Every day Halton Region delivers cost-effective, quality programs and services to residents, businesses and visitors. These programs and services include providing clean drinking water, waste collection and recycling, public health programs, housing and social assistance, paramedic services, wastewater collection and treatment, safe regional roads, economic development and tourism, and programs for parents, youth and seniors.

Citizens' Priorities - Halton Region's 2011-2014 Action Plan

  • Each new term, Halton Regional Council develops a plan to reflect Council’s priorities and focus on what services are important to Halton residents. On June 22, 2011, Regional Council approved The Citizens’ Priorities - Halton Region’s 2011-2014 Action Plan (PDF file). This Action Plan was fundamentally different from other plans Halton developed in the past because of how closely Halton worked with residents at the beginning of the development process.
  • Work on the 2011-2014 Action Plan is now complete. Citizens’ Reports/Council Updates were issued annually to update to residents on the progress achieved on the Citizens' Priorities - Halton Region's 2011-2014 Action Plan. The reports contain a summary of actions accomplished during the year and meet Halton's commitments to being accountable and transparent to residents.
