Halton Region impacts so many areas of your daily life. From emergency medical services to children and seniors’ services to affordable housing to Regional roads to waste management to providing clean drinking water, Halton Region’s services help improve the lives of Halton residents.

On June 22, 2011 Regional Council approved The Citizens’ Priorities - Halton Region’s 2011-2014 Action Plan.  Each new term, Halton Regional Council develops a plan to reflect Council’s priorities and focus on what services are important to Halton residents. This Action Plan is fundamentally different from other plans Halton has developed in the past because of how closely Halton worked with residents at the beginning of the development process. On February 29, 2012, an update on the progress achieved on the 2011 actions was provided to Regional Council. Regional Council also approved the Citizens' Priorities actions for 2012.
