Taking Action Against Homelessness in Halton

The Homelessness Forum that was scheduled to take place at Halton Region on January 13, 2011 is being cancelled. Over 100 people recently attended a poverty summit that brought people together from various sectors in Halton to start a dialogue about poverty in our community.

The participants in the summit, which include Halton Region, expressed support for the formation of a task group to develop a community approach to address poverty. We believe that it is best to direct our resources to be a part of this initiative as the discussion about poverty includes the issue of homelessness.
