Volunteering Opportunities

Halton Region values the many people in Halton that contribute their time, energy and enthusiasm to helping others in the community.

We benefit from volunteer support in our long-term care homes, in our Adult Day programs, in our Supportive Housing programs, at the Halton Regional Museum, and through partnership initiatives including the Breastfeeding Connection.

We know volunteers make an important contribution to the quality of life in Halton and that is why Regional Council supports the efforts of the non-profit and voluntary sector in Halton through our strategic plan. We provide funding through the Halton Region Community Investment Fund to organizations such as Community Development Halton and Volunteer Halton.

Volunteers also make important contributions to Halton Region through our various advisory committees.

We also work closely with Volunteer Halton and other community agencies such as the United Way to promote the Volunteer and Feel the Magic campaign which encourages people to volunteer their time to support programs and services in their community.
