The Halton Online Prenatal Program is a web-based, mobile- friendly program that includes audio voiceover, closed captioning, videos, quizzes, and more to help you learn about healthy pregnancy, labour and birth, breastfeeding and taking care of your newborn. This free program is an excellent option for first-time parents or parents expecting another child who would welcome a refresher course. Your account will be active for a period of one year from the time you create it. This version is the initial launch of the program and we will be making more upgrades in the future.
In this free 2-hour class, learn the importance of breastfeeding and how to prevent common breastfeeding challenges. Taught by a Certified Lactation Consultant and/or Public Health Nurse. Open to pregnant women and their partners/support person.
A free class designed to educate new parents about the safe installation and use of car seats for babies and toddlers. Includes a car seat inspection by a Certified Car Seat Technician.
A free year-round program for expectant mothers
Designed to give children the best start in life, this free program provides parents with health information and support. Public health nurses visit the homes of expectant parents who need more support.
