Several pharmacies are offering the AstraZeneca vaccine to individuals aged 40+. The AstraZeneca vaccine is safe and effective in preventing severe illness and complications from COVID-19. Booking through a pharmacy is also another option for eligible residents to get their vaccine and gain protection from COVID-19 as soon as possible. Earlier appointments may also be available through this program.
Appointments must be booked directly with the pharmacy. To find a location and book an appointment, please visit ontario.ca/pharmacycovidvaccine (external link)
Halton is currently focused on vaccinating priority populations as identified by the Province. The vaccine program remains contingent on supply from Federal and Provincial governments. As more vaccine becomes available, we will continue to roll out the vaccine to priority populations identified in the Province’s vaccination distribution plan as quickly as possible.
