Updates

  • Starting Monday, September 26 all residents 18+ are eligible for a bivalent COVID-19 booster dose. Residents 18+ can now book an appointment at a Halton Region COVID-19 vaccination clinic. Book an appointment.
    • Appointments continue to be added so please check back regularly.
  • Important information about the bivalent COVID-19 booster dose
    • The bivalent vaccine targets the original COVID-19 virus and the Omicron (BA.1) variant—the first COVID-19 vaccine to target a specific strain of the virus.
    • You must have completed your primary series (usually two doses) of COVID-19 vaccine to get a booster dose (bivalent or monovalent). It is recommended to get the bivalent COVID-19 booster dose six months (or 168 days) after completing your last dose of COVID-19 vaccine (including monovalent boosters) or having a COVID-19 infection, however, the minimum interval is three months (or 84 days).
