Oral Health Information for
Dentists, Dental Hygienists and Denturists

Halton Region relies entirely on private dental providers to provide care to clients on dental financial assistance programs. The participation of private dental offices in dental financial assistance programs has a profound impact on the health and well-being of the Halton residents and is a valued service provided to the community.

• Assess client’s clinical eligibility for our programs through one of our public health clinic locations, tele-screening, or at a school screening
• Navigate clients to enroll in dental financial assistance programs
• Answer any questions and support dental office staff regarding dental financial assistance programs
• Administer claims and predeterminations for some of the dental financial assistance programs
• Support dental offices once a client is enrolled on financial assistance programs with detailed information on the services covered under these programs

Halton Region offers oral health screening to children and youth aged 0-17 through 2 public health clinics that determines clinical and financial eligibility for dental financial assistance.
