Halton Region among Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2018

Jan 03, 2018

On December 8, 2017, Mediacorp Canada Inc. named Halton Region one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for the seventh consecutive year. This distinction identifies organizations offering exceptional working environments that promote employee engagement and success.

“It is an honour to be recognized as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for the past seven years,” said Gary Carr, Halton Regional Chair. “Our team is the foundation of our success—we are proud to keep Halton a great place to work for the dedicated Regional employees supporting residents, families and businesses in this community.”

The local competition, now in its 12th year, is based on the same comprehensive criteria as the national contest. Career opportunities offered through the internship and summer employment programs for youth, maternity and parental leave benefits, a comprehensive wellness program and onsite amenities were highlighted in Mediacorp’s profile of Halton Region as a top employer. In selecting Halton as a recipient, Mediacorp’s editorial team ranked the Region among the highest scorers of all participating employers in the Greater Toronto Area, including national and multinational organizations.
