Purchasing Services

As of April 30, 2018, bid opportunities for goods, services and construction projects for Halton Region will include Halton’s Vendor Code of Conduct (PDF file). This agreement requires vendors to demonstrate solid business integrity, alignment with our core values and high standards of ethical behaviour.

To be eligible for selection, bidders must confirm that they will comply with the Vendor Code of Conduct by signing the acknowledgement form and including it with their bid submission.

About Purchasing Services

Halton Region’s Purchasing Services team provides all potential suppliers of goods and services a fair and equal opportunity to bid on Regional business. It is responsible for the procurement of goods and services with a total purchase value of more than $10,000 for all Regional departments.

We are a member of the Halton Co-operative Purchasing Group (external link), which is dedicated to providing optimum value and resources to its member agencies and client groups through innovative and progressive co-operative purchasing.

Purchasing Services maintains memberships in several industry associations to maintain and promote simplified standards and specifications and keep pace with changing market conditions.
