Planning for a sustainable future

Jul 04, 2019

Halton is a large, diverse and great place to live and work; it continues to be one of the fastest growing communities in Canada with the population expected to reach one million by 2041. To ensure responsible growth and a sustainable future, Halton Region undertakes comprehensive planning, works closely with its partners and creates policies that support informed land use decisions.

I encourage you to learn more about Regional planning and the policy areas under review by visiting halton.ca. You can also stay up-to-date by signing up for email updates or emailing ROPR@halton.ca to ask questions about the Review process.

Thank you for your interest in this important process that will ensure the region remains a great place to live, work, raise a family and retire.
