Oral Health Clinics

Halton Region Public Health provides an oral health screening clinic for children up to age 17 years. Appointments are free of charge. The clinic also offers oral health information and education, as well as assessments of eligibility for dental care financial assistance.

Free tele-screening appointment

Parents who can’t make it to the clinic can call 311 or email accesshalton@halton.ca to request a free phone or virtual screening appointment with a registered dental hygienist. These appointments help assess a child’s oral health and eligibility for the Healthy Smiles Ontario program.

About our oral health clinic

Halton Region Public Health provides the following services at the oral health clinic:

  • oral health screening
  • oral health education
  • first dental visit oral health screening for babies and toddlers aged 0-3
  • assessment of eligibility for children up to age 17 for financial assistance through the Healthy Smiles Ontario (HSO) program
