The recommendation on the Preferred Growth Concept will not be considered by Regional Council on February 9, 2022 as originally scheduled. The consideration of the Preferred Concept will be rescheduled to a future meeting. There will be an opportunity for the public to provide written submissions and delegations at that time. A Regional Council Workshop on the Preferred Growth Concept has now been scheduled for February 9 at 9:30 a.m. At the Workshop, Regional staff will present updated information and respond to questions and requests for clarification regarding the Preferred Growth Concept. Under Halton’s Procedural By-law, delegations are not permitted at Council Workshops however the public is welcome to observe the live-streaming of the Workshop on our website.
The Statutory Public Meeting scheduled for 9 a.m. on February 9, 2022 about a Regional Official Plan Amendment application related to the Milton Education Village will proceed as planned.

Halton Regional Council meets on a monthly cycle. The meeting schedules for other committees vary depending on their individual requirements. All meetings of Regional Council and its Committees are held at the Halton Regional Centre, 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville. Other Committee & Board meetings may be held in other locations – please confirm in the calendar entry for each meeting.
As needed, Halton Region holds Public Information Centre (PIC) meetings to provide information and collect input on significant public projects. Representatives from the Region and any consultants attend these meetings to provide answers to questions. The location of these meetings is generally held in the ward where the project is to be undertaken. Please confirm in the calendar entry for each meeting.
