Welcome to Rotary Gardens, a cottage-like community located at 234-274 Woodside Drive and 1285-1299 Sedgewick Crescent, Oakville, just south of Rebecca Street, between Third and Fourth Line. Rotary Gardens are 1-storey apartments in a townhouse-style complex for older adults, separated into 7 buildings. Residents pay for their own electricity, along with internet, cable and/or phone service if desired. There are 2 on-site common laundry rooms. Surface tenant parking may also be available, and visitors may park on the streets under Oakville by-law regulations.

  • This building has a seniors tenant advisory group member. The HCHC seniors tenant advisory group provides a forum for members of HCHC communities to come together, discuss and learn about issues concerning seniors. Members are empowered to contribute to their communities and inspire others through social engagement, i.e. seniors’ month celebrations, welcoming new residents and encouraging participation in social events at their sites. Residents are invited to participate in tea socials, information and educational presentations such as Brain Health, an educational presentation by the Alzheimer Society, in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton Halton.
Recent/Ongoing Projects:
  • 2017-2018 – Interior and Exterior Renovations to Apartments – complete interior renovation including flooring, painting, bathroom and kitchen, upgrading the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. In crawl space, replaced all sanitary plumbing and repaired water supply plumbing leaks. Removal of the solariums and made repairs to the concrete patios. Exterior renovations included roof and window replacements ($1,200,000)
  • 2018 – Sewer Line Replacement – excavation and replacement of buried sanitary sewer lines and reinstatement of landscaping ($200,000)
  • 2018 – Heating Line Replacement – replacement of underground heating loop ($35,000)
  • 2019-2020 – Sidewalk Replacement – complete replacement of exterior pathways with sidewalks meeting current accessibility standards. Phase 1 included the southern portion of the property ($60,000). Phase 2 includes the remainder of the property ($250,000). Work is expected to be completed in 2020. Re-grading property to improve drainage.
