Study
Halton Region is carrying out a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) Study to consider a range of multi-modal transportation improvements including roadway widening, cross-sectional requirements, active transportation, transit supportive infrastructure, intersection improvements, and overall traffic operations on the following corridors:
- James Snow Parkway (Regional Road 4) from Britannia Road (Regional Road 6) to Highway 401;
- Steeles Avenue (Regional Road 8) from Regional Road 25 to Trafalgar Road (Regional Road 3); and
- Regional Road 25 from 5 Side Road to 10 Side Road.
A number of road improvement alternatives have been examined as part of this Study for each corridor. The impacts of improvements on the social, cultural, and natural environments have been assessed and evaluated throughout the study.
