Halton Region Community Investment Fund (HRCIF)

 

The Halton Region Community Investment Fund (HRCIF) supports a wide range of non-profit health and social service programs that enhance the health, safety and well-being of Halton residents.

The Fund provides one-year and multi-year grants to programs and initiatives through two categories of funding and is part of Halton’s overall approach to community safety and well-being planning.

About HRCIF Funding

The HRCIF is part of Halton’s overall approach to community safety and well-being planning and supports a holistic response to human service needs. The fund provides one-year and multi-year grants to programs and initiatives through two categories of funding that provide more than $2.6 million in annual grants.

Category One (one-year grants)

  • Applications for 2020 funding have closed
  • Provides funding to health and social service programs that enhance the health, safety and well-being of Halton residents for short-term, small capital and/or innovative projects
  • Grants are for one year and up to $30,000
  • Non-profit, charitable and unincorporated community organizations may apply.

Category Two (multi-year grants)

  • Applications for 2020 funding have closed
  • Provides up to three years of funding to health and social service programs and initiatives that enhance the health, safety and well-being of Halton residents
  • Applicants must be a registered charity to apply

Currently Funded Programs/Initiatives

In 2019, Regional Council approved the following community programs and initiatives to receive HRCIF funding. Funding is for periods of one, two or three years.

In spring of 2018, Regional Council approved the following community programs/initiatives for multi-year funding. Funding for these programs/initiatives continues into 2019.

In spring of 2017, Regional Council approved the following community programs/projects for multi-year funding. Funding for these programs/projects continues into 2019.

The following community programs/initiatives were previously approved by Regional Council. Funding for these programs/initiatives is complete.
