The National Advisory Committee on Sexually Transmitted and Blood-Borne Infections (NAC-STBBI) has released updated recommendations on the use of prophylactic doxycycline for the prevention of bacterial sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including chlamydia, syphilis, and possibly gonorrhea.

ISPA enforcement may lead to increased vaccination requests; Polio vaccine guidance

Halton Region Public Health is enforcing the Immunization of School Pupils Act. Students born in 2008–2013 and 2016-2018 may be suspended from school starting in March 2026 if their immunization records with Public Health are incomplete.

The measles outbreak in Ontario has been officially declared over, effective October 6, 2025. Ensure international travellers and children are up to date on their immunizations, including measles containing vaccines.
