About this project
To support growing populations in the communities of Halton Hills and Milton, construction of a new 66,000 square-foot police facility will begin in . The police station is located just north of Highway 401, near the intersection of Steeles Avenue and Sixth Line South, in the community of Hornby (Town of Halton Hills).
The new 1 District facility opened in July 2026. It supports the delivery of policing services and helps ensure the safety and security of our community.
To support the 1 District project and provide new access to Hornby Park, Hornby Road was extended south of Steeles Avenue to the edge of the Hornby Park. This extension includes new streetlights, a multi-use path and boulevard landscaping. To learn more, read the frequently asked questions.

The current 12 Division Police Station in Milton was built in 1997. The age of the Milton station combined with population growth in Halton Hills and Milton have resulted in the Halton Regional Police Service outgrowing this facility. To ensure Halton Police can continue to meet the needs of these communities in the future, a larger, more modern police station is required.

The new police station is a 66,000 square-foot police facility. It also offers parking for police vehicles and visitors.

Police services for Milton and Halton Hills operates out of the new 1 District (12 Division) station. The location is also be home to one of three Halton Regional Police Service Collision Reporting Centres, staffed and managed by Accident Support Services. Members of the public can visit the new police station during open hours.
