It strengthens frontline policing and ensures the Halton Regional Police Service has the space and resources needed to serve a rapidly expanding population.

The station was built and delivered by Halton Region for the Halton Regional Police Service. A project of this scale is only possible through strong collaboration.
The 1 District Police Station is the result of the close partnership between Halton Region, the Halton Regional Police Service, and the Towns of Halton Hills and Milton. From planning and design to construction, each partner played a key role in bringing this shared vision to life. Although the full project journey took approximately 10 years, the building itself was completed in just 26 months, from building permit to completion. The project was also delivered under budget.
This is an exceptional achievement for a facility of this size, complexity, and operational importance. It reflects strong project management, responsible financial oversight, and an unwavering commitment to delivering high quality public infrastructure.
It also builds on a strong track record. With the official opening of 1 District, Halton Region and the Halton Regional Police Service have now delivered two major facilities in the past eight years—including Police Headquarters in Oakville. This continued collaboration reflects a shared commitment to innovation, efficiency, and community safety.
