At Halton, we provide vital services you rely on each day to live, grow and thrive! We’re looking for interns to fill exciting roles on teams that support Public Works, Public Health, Climate Change and more. If you are studying engineering, climate change, finance, public health, policy or emergency management, check out the amazing opportunities we have posted.
Our one-year Internship and Apprenticeship program starts each June and is a great way for recent graduates to gain valuable, hands-on experience in the workplace. Our interns get great opportunities to learn from mentors in their field and apply their skills.
We are proud to prioritize collaboration, wellness and work-life balance. We have been a Greater Toronto Top Employer (external link) for 14 years and one of Canada’s Best Employers for Recent Graduates.
Our internship program provides:
hands-on experience by learning from and working alongside industry leaders and experts;
opportunities to contribute to daily operations, strategic initiatives and the current Regional priorities;
on-the-job learning, networking opportunities and professional development while supporting the delivery of services and programs in our community;
mentorship from leaders across the organization; and
tools to succeed in current career roles and beyond.
If our Internship and Apprenticeship program (external link) sounds interesting to you, I encourage you to apply to be a part of the Halton team. Summer student postings are also still up until the end of the month. Visit halton.ca/jobs.
Our interns and summer students support services that matter most to the community, helping everyone to live, grow and thrive!
