From May 12-18, we recognize the dedication, compassion, and leadership of nurses across Canada during National Nursing Week! At Halton Region, this celebration holds special meaning. Nurses are at the core of many of our essential services, from vaccinating our communities, supporting youth, children and parents to providing care and comfort in our long-term care homes.
This year’s theme, “The Power of Nurses to Transform Health”, highlights nurses' powerful role in advocating for better health outcomes, equity in care, and the well-being of every individual they serve.

Recognizing Personal Support Workers on May 19

PSWs are essential members of our care teams, providing hands-on, daily support to older adults and individuals with complex needs. Their compassion, dedication, and tireless efforts make an immeasurable difference in the lives of those they care for. We thank all PSWs for their invaluable service and commitment to dignity, safety, and well-being.
Thank you to all of the Nurses in Halton who help keep our community a healthy and safe place for everyone!
