Honouring our nation’s veterans and those who continue to serve
Throughout the month, we wear our poppies proudly and honour Indigenous Veteran’s Day (November 8), and Remembrance Day (November 11). The poppy is a strong symbol and one way we remember the sacrifices our Veterans made for our freedom and recognize members of the Canadian Armed Forces as they bring peace and aid to people worldwide.
Get your poppy at any Royal Canadian Legion across the country today. Lest we forget.

Delivering assisted rental housing for those who need it most, Kerr St project making great progress
The need for affordable market housing is reaching a critical point, with more and more Ontarians finding it out of reach. This is increasing the demand for rentals and housing assistance and underscores the urgency of our housing initiatives.
To support provincial and local housing targets, we are focused on delivering more assisted rental units to our community. Read my blog and check out our portfolio of assisted and supportive housing projects (PDF file).

Tackling local traffic congestion, Wyecroft Bridge project on track for 2026
It’s no secret that Halton is growing, and more people want to live and work here. That’s why we are making major investments in infrastructure right across the region, like the new connection between Oakville and Burlington. I recently visited the site and got an update from staff: We are on budget and on track for 2026.
The Wyecroft bridge and road extension will go over Bronte Creek, providing a new travel option for motorists, first responders, cyclists and pedestrians and will reduce traffic on local roads.
