About the study
Halton Region is initiating a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study for corridor improvements on James Snow Parkway (Regional Road 4) from Highway 401 to Tremaine Road/Dublin Line (Regional Road 22) in the Town of Halton Hills and the Town of Milton. The study will consider a wide range of road improvement alternatives including active transportation, traffic and intersection operations, structural, drainage, and cross-sectional requirements. The impact of the improvements on the social, cultural, and natural environments will also be considered.
Process and consultation
The study will be carried out in accordance with Schedule C of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, as amended 2007, 2011, 2015, 2023 and 2024), which is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
Public and review agency consultation is a key element of the process and input will be sought at key milestones throughout this study. Details regarding upcoming public engagement opportunities will be posted to the study webpage on halton.ca as the study progresses. Upon completion of the study, an Environmental Study Report will be prepared and placed on the public record for a minimum 30-day review period. The document will detail the planning and consultation process and the preferred alternative for the corridor
