About this project
To support growing populations in the communities of Halton Hills and Milton, construction of a new 66,000 square-foot police facility will begin in . The police station will be located just north of Highway 401, near the intersection of Steeles Avenue and Sixth Line South, in the community of Hornby (Town of Halton Hills).
The new 1 District facility will support the delivery of policing services and help ensure the safety and security of our community. Construction is expected to be complete in .
To support the 1 District project and provide new access to Hornby Park, Hornby Road is being extended south of Steeles Avenue to the edge of the Hornby Park, with construction starting in . This extension, when fully completed, will include new streetlights, a multi-use path and boulevard landscaping. To learn more, read the frequently asked questions.
