Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Studies

Halton Region has identified the need for additional wastewater treatment capacity to service the forecasted growth in the approved Acton urban area. The Acton Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Class Environmental Assessment Study (Class EA Study) was completed to identify a preferred strategy and design concept to achieve the required wastewater treatment capacity.

• Evaluation of different alternatives providing additional wastewater treatment capacity.
• Evaluation of different design concepts achieving the required wastewater treatment capacity.
• Identification of any environmental impacts and mitigation measures.
• Preparation of Environmental Study Report (ESR).
